A team of DRC's finest were brought together to determine how to plan and execute this idea. What was developed was a quick game that was built to run in a web browser on a desktop, tablets, or smartphone device [using HTML5]. Attendees begin the game by logging in with their email or Twitter handle and a pass phrase that is provided to them from a DRC employee working the booth. Once logged into the game two things occur. First, DRC's Twitter handle automatically tweets the attendees Twitter handle or local part of their email address stating that they have begun a quiz game at the conference, as well as what booth number they are at. Secondly, the game will randomly select and notify the attendee if they are an instant winner and how they can claim their prize. Then the attendee is provided with instructions explaining how the game is played. Before each question is revealed attendees will have the option to wager 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, or 150 points. If the question is answered correctly, they will win the amount of points wagered, minus the number of seconds it took to answer the question. If answered incorrectly, they will lose the total amount of points wagered. The winner is determined by the cumulative points from the game, as well as the amount of questions correctly answered. Once the quiz has been completed DRC tweets a second time announcing the final score for the attendee and encouraging other conference attendees to attempt to beat their high score. The leaders of the day are displayed on a leaderboard that updates automatically as players complete the game. There is also a column on the leaderboard that shows a live tweet stream using the conference hash tag to keep people aware of what others are tweeting about.
